Creating and assigning students to an Event triggers the full set of Student Support Card surveys to be available to students who are assigned to that Event.

NOTE: If a student participating in an Event is not properly assigned to the event, then they will only see only the ROY set of surveys in their survey list.

Getting Started

There are TWO ways you can assign students to an event: in a Batch and Individually.

For either method, you need to first navigate to your list of Students.

Batch Method

This is the easiest method for getting all of your students assigned to an Event.

Step 1: Make sure you have all of the expected participating students entered into the system and have Active accounts. (Don’t worry, you can always add individuals later if you miss someone - see Indivdiual Method below.)

Step 2: In the far-left column of your students list, mark the checkbox next to each student’s name who you want to assign to the same Event. If ALL students on your Active list are expected to participate, then you can mark the box at the very top of the column; this will automatically select ALL students in that list.

Step 3: Make sure the correct Event Name is showing in the pull-down menu above and click the Assign button.

Successful Event assignments are indicated by a green checkmark in the Event column next to each student’s Name.

Individual Method

To assign an individual, you can:

  1. Use the Batch Method described above and simply select and assign the one student, OR

  2. Edit the student and follow this Individual Method (same student account form as when you add a new student).

You might most commonly do either of these if an existing student was accidentally missed when assigning the group or maybe the student was able at the last minute to join the Event.

In other cases, it is a NEW student that is attending the event. You can add this new student and assign them to the Event on the same form, in one swoop.

See the Managing Student Accounts Help page for how to Add a New Student > Manual Input. On that same student account form, you will see there is a data field labeled Assign to Event.

Simply select the Event Name from the pull-down list when creating the student. Make sure to click the green button at the bottom to save your updates.

Confirming Event Assignment - Student List

You can double-check the list of students you have assigned in two different ways:

  1. On the Students list page, click the Event column - that will sort the student list, grouping assigned students all togther.

  2. On the Event page (click the name on your Dashboard), you will see a list of all students assigned to that Event under the Assigned Students without Event Snapshot. If you wanted to print a list, then this is probably the most printer-friendly page to do that.
